April is Fair Housing Month – A Commitment to Equal Opportunity for All
April marks Fair Housing Month, an important time to reflect on the significance of equal housing opportunities for everyone, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, or disability. At the Tri County Board of Realtors, we strongly believe that every individual deserves access to safe, affordable, and non-discriminatory housing.
This month, we honor the legacy of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which was passed to prevent discrimination and ensure that all people have the right to choose where they live without facing bias or prejudice. As realtors, we take this responsibility seriously and are committed to upholding these principles every day.

Being a REALTOR is a source of pride and prestige. A REALTOR is a professional that you can trust. The term "REALTOR" is a professional trade association designation and symbolizes the distinction between the average real estate licensee and a member of this organization. REALTORS agree to adopt and abide by the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics. Members set themselves apart and above many other real estate licensees who are outside of organized real estate and who do not benefit from the strong positioning of a leadership organization. REALTORS aspire to share real estate information in a common database (MLS) and share common one-stop access (lockboxes).
